this month was full, in every aspect.

the calendar
my arms
grace
whispered prayers
friend time
busy workdays
thank yous & i’m sorrys

there were nights i climbed into bed + knew i would be tired the next day. (but also— i didn’t really care. sometimes you have to stay out late with your friends + yap past your bedtime.)

there were moments that reminded me how precious this life is— and how wonderful it is to live untethered to my phone + in a constant posture of worship.

there were long work days + 4am pumping sessions + blooming rose bushes + lots of coffee + a few weeks where i limped everywhere because i somehow injured my foot (welcome to almost 40, i guess?) + spring thunderstorms + lots of snuggles with junebug.

it was a full month.
His mercies were new each morning.
and His grace was overflowing.

now— here’s a “currently” recap of the month of may.

WATCHING:

we watched the jurassic park/world movies with jackson this month. and after finishing the first movie, he declared his birthday party theme was going to be jurassic park. 🦖

READING:

i did not finish any books this month, BUT i read a lot! in this season of life, i care more about quality rather than quantity in my reading. i am listening to the new emily henry on audio (so far, it could be my favorite, but that remains to be seen because i am usually disappointed by some of her content.)

LISTENING:

my currently playlist
a couple audiobooks
”highway don’t care” - tim mcgraw (randomly remembered this song; can’t get it out of my head.)

EATING/DRINKING:

there were several birthdays + graduations this month, so i ate a lot of cake.
copious amounts of coffee were consumed.
this banana bread. (jared bought an extra bunch of bananas just so i could make it, so i’d say it’s good!)

HIGHLIGHTS:

june turned 7 months old! 💜
crave worship night #2 was a success
i blogged every day in may
i got wordle in one, again! (YEAST) 🟩
it’s rose season + our backyard is gorgeous!
also— peonies 💖
jared surprised me with a date night!
the boys spoiled me on mother’s day
