easter, a good reading month, + a fun sonic drink
hi, hello. ✨
let’s pretend this email hit your inbox a week ago, shall we? 😂 i did not intend to send this out on may 10th, but life has been full (in the best ways), so better late than never.
easter has become so real to me in the last couple years. not that i didn’t believe in it before, but it has flourished into a true celebration in my heart, spirit, + mind. a true joy fills me as we sing of Jesus’ resurrection from the grave + His defeat of death.
i think this shift has happened because of my intentional observance of good friday. most of us just want to get to the good part of easter. why dwell on friday + saturday when sunday is the day to celebrate?!
because to celebrate the resurrection, we must acknowledge the reason He was there in the first place: sin. He died a cruel death to make a way when there was none. when i stopped + gave space to mourn on good friday + saturday - knowing my sin put Jesus on that cross - it made sunday that much sweeter.

the blooming tree in our front yard had hundreds of beautiful pink blossoms + it made me so happy. 🌸
the pink lady drink at sonic: sprite with cherry + vanilla cream. so good! 🥤
